Amazon.com Product Description
The Russian Diver Watch by Invicta is a powerful black and silver timepiece done in a canteen style with a screw-cap crown and chain. The luminous hands and indexes make it easy to read the time, and the adjustable buckle on the comfy band make for a good fit. Featuring large Arabic numbers and a convenient date display just under 12 o'clock, the grand 52 millimeter stainless steel case frames the black dial with the notable Russian Diver logo in place of 12 o'clock. Water resistant to 330 feet, this eye-catcher will have people noticing, especially when paired with jeans and a t-shirt.

5 out of 5 stars Not disappointed!!   September 3, 2010

This watch had all I was looking for. I have many fancy and expensive watches but this time I was looking for simple, large, waterproof, and easy to read. I was really thinking I was going to get the raw end here spending only $80.00. The watch was the best value for the $ I have had in years. Other reviews helped allot, I looked beyond any bad reviews as they seemed remote. Awesome Quality I would have guest it to be worth way more!

2 out of 5 stars beautiful watch but extremely disappointed   September 2, 2010

I ordered this watch as I was looking for a large face watch and this is throughly enormous. I received this watch promptly upon ordering and it look absolutely great in the box. I put it on my hand and love the look of it. However, I discovered smudges under the glass surface. Yes. I tried wiping the top surface but the smudges are under it. I searched online and found that it is quite common for Invicta watches. I found out I need to find myself a watch maker that can clean and pressure seal the watch back and pay for it. Thats the first disappointment. Secondly, I was looking at the watch when I discovered that the rubber strap near the metal part is broken slightly. It is clearly a defect from manufacture as I only just removed the watch from the box. I send back for refund from Amazon and need to pay the courier charges back. Will not be trying to buy another one again despite the beautiful face.

Very popular model among Invicta watches. Very good looking at your hands. The first time people say that they weigh a lot, but they all got used to the weight very soon. People interested in whether this watch really shines in the dark so much. They tested it and they are really excited. People like these watches.

3 out of 5 stars Now not even Swiiss Mvt...   August 26, 2010

I bought this watch because I liked how it looked like. I must confess I hadn't been swiped before for all this BIG-WATCHES fashion trend. I read all the reviews where they state again an again that this is really a BIG watch and I was a little bit affraid that it would look comedic on me. I liked it however and since it had a huge discount and an offer of free one day shipping, I took the chance and bought it. Now I've received it, and even when it is big (and not that heavy), it is not of clownish-big comedic proportions.

It is a nice watch and it doesn't look that much like a cheap counterfeit/knock-off. However, that guy with a review that made it sound like it is an almost-original-rolex-quality, well, it is not, and it doesn't have that quality (What did you expect really, for less than a 100 bucks?).

Now, I am overall satisfied with my buy (taking into account how much money I inverted on this, it's ok), but after reading the first reviews posted and receiving and inspecting my unit, I can't avoid feeling like these brand of watches keeps getting cheaper, and I do not mean of a cheaper price, but of a lower quality. E.g., some people complained it was not "Swiss made" but "Swiss movement", well, let me inform you that now it is not even Swiss movement. At least there is no "Swiss movt" label to be found anywhere on the watch. Once again Amazon will have to remove the pictures and put new ones without the swiss movt label.

Also, the hour hand is kind of "off the mark" a little bit. I mean, when it's 12 o'clock, and the minute hand is directly pointing at 12, the hour hand is pointing a little bit to the left, like 5 or 6 degrees off towards the 11 position. It is not noticeable but when both hands should be perfectly aligned, and you can almost correct it by playing to set the time; and please note that I said almost. Therefore I only give it 3 stars, it doesn't deserve more.

Will I return it? No, it is not worthy of spending money on sending it back (UPS from mainland Europe to continental USA would cost me at least 70 euros) and it is a good looking watch, solidly built and of a good quality for the money spent on it, I will probably use it for scuba diving on the mediterranean (And I know, I'm not supposed to, But what the heck, I bought a "russian diver" so I will use it for diving; if it breaks down, it was a cheap watch). Will I buy another watch again from Invicta?, no, not again, at least not a russian diver; and not on-line. In any case, I will see it first in person, before buying; But I really prefer to spend 4-5 times more on a trusty titanium EcoDrive, or even 67 times more on an original Milgauss (I work with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulators and around MRIs frequently) when I save enough money for it.
